Field of experience
I teach at SPTI, on the Ma Integrative Psychotherapy programme, this helps me maintain a reflexive approach to Psychotherapy and enables me to offer supervision based on contemporary thinking.
I have extensive experience in working with clients with a broad range of issues such as abuse, physically, emotionally and sexually. Those who have suffered childhood trauma. Clients who have issues around gender Those who are experiencing life crises. Those who have been bereaved or who have suffered other losses. Work with clients who are bullied or harassed in the workplace and those who have suffered trauma as a result of experience in the workplace. Those who suffer from depression, anxiety or stress.
I have a professional interest in attachment and the reparative capacity of the therapeutic relationship with individuals who have experienced poor infant attachment. I studied this area whilst undertaking my MA in Integrative Psychotherapy in the form of a research dissertation. I continue to study this area of interest both in the professional field and in my clinical practice.
I have many years experience working in the NHS and have provided group and individual supervision for a broad range of health and social professionals including palliative care, domestic abuse support, sex workers support, clinical genetics and oncology.
